Brow treatment aftercare

Complete Brow Definition and henna brows: dos and don’ts

  • Stay dry

Please avoid water (showers, swimming in chlorinated or salt water, heavy rain!), steam (hot tubs, saunas, facial steamers) and sweat for 24 hours after your treatment.

  • No touching!

Avoid the temptation to touch the brow area immediately after your treatment. This can add oils to the area and clog the open pores, resulting in breakouts.

  • Take a brief break from brow makeup

Please don’t apply any brow makeup for 24 hours after your treatment.

  • No sun worshipping (even if it's fake!)

Avoid sunbathing, sunbeds or UV light for 24 hours after your treatment.

  • Step away from the self-tan!

Avoid self-tan products on your face (even the ones with a ‘hint of tint’) for 48 hours after your treatment. There’s a possibility that these products will react with the tint/henna and turn your brows a greenish color (not a good look!)

  • Gently does it

After 24 hours, to cleanse your skin, make sure to use a gentle, non-oily makeup remover or cleanser around the brow area, to maintain the tint or henna.

  • Skip active skincare ingredients

Avoid using skincare products that contain active ingredients for at least 3 days after your treatment. For example, anti-ageing creams or medication that contains vitamin A, retinol, retinal, retin-A, or retinoic acid; or products containing AHAs (e.g. glycolic acid, lactic acid). To maintain the tint/henna for as long as possible, also avoid physical exfoliators around the brow area.

  • Come again soon!

Book your next tint or henna appointment for around 4 to 6 weeks’ time.

Brow lamination: dos and don’ts

  • Condition, condition, condition!

A brow lamination is a chemical treatment, not dissimilar to perming your hair. You wouldn’t have your hair permed and not use conditioner afterwards; the same applies to your brows post-lamination. You can purchase a brow conditioning serum at your appointment for just £15

  • Come again soon

Book your next appointment for around 8 weeks’ time (any sooner and we risk over-processing your brows). You might like to come back after 4 weeks for a brow tint and/or shape to keep your brows looking fresh.
