Lash treatment aftercare
Lash lift and tint: dos and don’ts
-
Stay dry
Please avoid water (showers, swimming in chlorinated or salt water, heavy rain!), steam (hot tubs, saunas, facial steamers) and sweat for 24 hours after your lash lift.
-
Take a brief break from mascara
Please don’t apply any mascara for 24 hours after your lash lift. You can absolutely wear mascara after this point if you wish, but do avoid waterproof mascara, please.
-
Gently does it
Use a gentle, non-oily makeup remover or cleanser to maintain the lift and tint.
-
Condition, condition, condition!
A lash lift and tint is a chemical treatment, not dissimilar to perming your hair. You wouldn’t have your hair permed and not use conditioner afterwards; the same applies to your lashes post-lift. You can purchase a lash conditioning serum at your appointment for just £15.
-
Step away from the lash curlers!
You won’t need or want to use them anyway, as you’ll leave your appointment with beautifully curled lashes, but please don’t use lash curlers as these will damage your chemically treated lashes.
-
Sleeping beauty
If possible, try to sleep on your back or side to avoid flattening your beautifully lifted lashes!
-
Come again soon!
Book your next appointment for around 8 weeks’ time (any sooner and we risk over-processing your lashes). You might like to come back after 4 weeks for a lash tint to keep your lashes looking fresh.
